It’s been decades since the last time a Cyprus brewed beer won any important distinction in an international beer contest and Prime Microbrewery did it!!! “2700 BC”, a beer based on the new beer Prime Microbrewery’s label “Cyprus Pils”won the Silver medal award and made us very proud. “Cyprus Pils” is an exceptional quality (ultra-end quality) beer, designed exclusively for the Cypriot taste and climatic environment. Prime Microbrewery considering the difficult storage conditions for any beer consumed in Cyprus, designed the “Cyprus Pils” to maintain it’s quality and flavor characteristics, a fact that was proved in the “Meiningers International Craft Beer Awards 2016” . This award is very important for the Cyprus breweries as a whole and for Cypriot products in general, proving Cyprus ability to produce top quality products.
“2700 BC” was brewed with the collaboration of the archaeology department of Manchester University and Prime Microbrewery brewers, it replicates the beer produced 4700 years ago in Cyprus based on the archaeological excavation findings.
